The Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Benghazi, alongside with the Faculty of Information Technology at the Libyan International Medical University, and the College of Electrical and Electronics Technology have taken initiative with the support of Tatweer Research to unify the electrical, electronics, communications and information technology scientific and professional efforts in Libya. For that, all parties have established the International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ICEEIT 2020) to provide a unique forum to discuss state of the art findings to overcome related problems that face Libya and the rest of the world, and further develop these sectors in Libya. Furthermore, ICEEIT 2020 will gather researchers to share their visions and ideas, obtain updates on the latest advances, and most importantly expand professional and social networking.
For the first time in a Libyan based conference, papers accepted in ICEEIT 2020 will be published in a Scopus indexed journal, this and several workshops related to research methodologies that are organized before the conference will encourage local and young engineers to research and publish their work. Also, there will be a special forum in the conference for young entrepreneurs in the fields of Electrical, Communications and Information Technologies to meet with national and international experts and investors.
The ICEEIT 2020 will be held in Benghazi the second largest city in Libya, and one of the cultural centers of Libya, with it, is theaters and Dar Al-Kutub National Library. Furthermore, it is the home of all parties organizing the conference. The widely know friendly city is a hub for education, innovation, and research, where the oldest university in Libya “the University of Libya” was founded in Benghazi by royal decree in 1955.
